Hello! I'm Kathryn. I've compulsively been putting pen to paper since I was eight years old. Growing up on the Pacific Northwest has swaddled me in the calm embrace of bioactivity: the mountains who shoulder the forests of the coastal western hemlock zone and the sonorous waves of the Pacific Ocean. This land has sheltered and sustained people for over 10,000 years, and I am honoured to create on territories stewarded by generations of the Tseil-Watuth, Musqueam and Squamish nations. My work is catalyzed by these vast earthly bodies and what harsh political forces contrast the interdependent beauty of the local surround.

I completed a degree in Human Geography with a focus on Urban Studies at UBC. This led me to crafting articles on Vancouver transit and eventually motions for Vancouver City Council as Jean Swanson's political assistant. I currently work as an administrator at Vancouver Acting School.
